Bruce Davies Concert

Many of you will recall that the singer-songwriter, Bruce Davies, performed at a concert for us in Madderty Hall last March. This was regarded by all as an excellent evening. This year once again as part of our Four Churches Spring Festival a concert with Bruce was held, this time in Gask Hall on Thursday 15th March. A packed hall enjoyed another great evenings entertainment with Bruce. 

   

Bruce Davies is a skilled musician and an excellent entertainer with a wonderful voice. His mix of song styles (from Scottish to gentle folk ballads and more besides!) will appeal to a wide range of people. He has recorded and has appeared on radio and TV as well as performing at concerts worldwide throughout his over 30 years as a professional musician.

Bruce Davies Biography

Performing with acoustic six and twelve string guitars, rich baritone voice and an accessible style, he is one of Scotland’ s mostaccomplished artists.  He performs the songs of his heroes and friends, some of his own award-winning compositions  and the  best  of Scotland’ s  song  repertoire and  in  a programme  that  goes well  beyond what is normally regarded as folk music. Describing his Church concerts, Bruce said, “I am a Christian and see my work, not as ‘evangelism’, but as ‘thought-provoking entertainment’.  It’ s my hope that people will be entertained, stimulated and encouraged by the songs and feeling of each performance”.
